Ryan Green is a Pulitzer Center Grantee and freelance journalist who focuses on oceans and the changes they’re enduring. Her bylines include Scientific American, Oceanographic Magazine, Eos, Smithsonian, and more. She holds a Master of Science degree from Columbia Journalism School where she was awarded the Jean Anderson prize for environmental reporting and the James A. Wechsler prize for local reporting and created an investigative short film. With a background in humanitarian development, marine science, and ocean technology, Ryan brings a global perspective to her journalism. In her free time, she can be found chasing waves, photos, and dogs.
